studio time...

white elephant...

so i told you guys that i had some orders going out, well a bunch of my scarves are now at White Elephant in Hamilton! i met the lovely ladies of White Elephant last spring while we had our grad show exhibit on James St North. so i've been putting together two scarf orders tonight! and i'm pretty excited. one is going to a cute little shop in my neighbourhood, and the other one is off to White Elephant in Hamilton! I'm pretty excited to have my line carried in both of these lovely shops!

shop update!!

so i took some new pictures of the scarves i've been working on lately and i've updated the shop! there will still be more items added too, and if your looking for something specific just email me.
i'm really liking the way the photos came out. i have this awesome brick back drop that the best friend got for me that used to be a store display. and its the perfect pairing for my prints. it was a little tricky taking photos of myself, but i got my timer and temporary tripod (the bbq!) all set up. and it was crazy windy today, that didn't help much with the scarves and backdrop blowing everywhere!! but thats okay, it all turned out!

artsee cafe...

so i'm feeling a little overwhelmed and super busy this week. but tonight i got a whole pile of work ready to go off to The Artsee Cafe in Bayfield, Ontario. i'm really excited to have some of my work displayed there. its a super cute cafe, with amazing food, and all of the art on the walls is for sale! they always feature local artists, and i'm really excited to be included this summer. i have a whole pile of scarves ready to go, as well as a bunch of the snap brooches. i haven't been stitching in a while, but it was nice and therapeutic to work on this week. i can't wait to see what it all looks like hung up, i'll have to take a picture and share!
i hope you all have a good weekend, i'm off to the cottage, but i feel its gonna be more of a work weekend. i have so much work to do before next weeks show that i think the computer is gonna have to come up with me. and i think that i'm gonna recruit my friend into helping me dye a bunch of fabric! well see if she likes it!

printing up a storm...

so in just over a week i'm going to have a booth at a huge craft fair here at home in London, Ontario. i haven't done a show this big before, so i don't really know what to expect or how much product to have. so i've been making as much as i can! plus i just got a job, so life has been super busy!!
i've got the scarves in all kinds of colours, and i'm loving how they look. so nice and bright. and last night i started some new projects (why not have even more stuff to work on right?!), i'll show you them later. ohh and i'm taking some of my work up to this adorable little beach town on Lake Huron this weekend to put up in a gallery/cafe. man life is busy right now!!

i was looking around on Need Supply Co last night, and i'm just loving some of their summer dresses. which would look pretty cute with a printed scarf!

i've been pretty busy since my weekend away. i've got lots of printing done and lots more to do! and then next week i have a huge batch of scarves to dye and then print. print print print!! ohh and i got a job yesterday! so its gonna be busy in the next little while! ohh and i'm gonna tell you about some of my summer plans soon! some big exciting things coming up soon!

summer days...

so the warm summer weather has hit, and i'm fully embracing wearing my hair up most days. i love the slightly high messy bun, and i'm loving bandana headbands. the one i'm wearing is one i made, its the smaller size of my scarves rolled up. this is defiantly going to be a summer staple.
