beehive craft fair...

hey ladies! its been a busy day with my scarves. i had a photo shoot all afternoon and i'll be posting some pictures for you later. and i'm working on a shop update!
and more exciting news, The Beehive Craft Fair is this weekend! i'm really excited to be taking part, i think that its going to be a really great show! the bees have got about 20 amazing artists together for this great show, and i can't wait to shop the other booths! if your in the Hamilton area this weekend be sure to check it out. its happening as part of the James St North Art Crawl on friday night, as well as 10-5 on saturday.

more summer shows...

so in the next few weeks i've got some more shows coming up. this weekend i'll be downtown here in london, at this new artists and vendors market called The Metropolitan Market. its a really cool place. they restored this old building downtown that used to be a department store with the same name. i'm really looking forward to it, i'll show you some photos next week! and theres a festival going on downtown all weekend too, a Car Free festival. it sounds like its gonna be a lot of fun, they are shutting down most of the downtown core and running events, music and activities all day long. i think it'll be a really fun weekend downtown!

my busy weekend...

hey ladies!! so after a busy week i'm back! last week was totally crazy, working my new job and being in the studio at all other times! and then last weekend i had my first big 3 day craft show. and it was a really great experience. the festival was pretty quiet compared to other years, i think it may have been the heat. it was about 35°c all weekend! sooo hot. plus the humidity, which made it feel almost 40°, which is really hot for this area. but the weekend other than the small crowds was pretty good, i made some really great connections for some other shows coming up in the fall, and it was really good to set my booth all up in a bigger space than i've done before. but its really nice this week to be quieter!

theres a new look around here on the blog. i hope you all like it! i really wanted to be using bigger pictures and couldn't do it on the old format. i thought it was time for a little make over. i'm still working out some kinks, so things may keep changing a little bit.

artsee cafe...

so i'm feeling a little overwhelmed and super busy this week. but tonight i got a whole pile of work ready to go off to The Artsee Cafe in Bayfield, Ontario. i'm really excited to have some of my work displayed there. its a super cute cafe, with amazing food, and all of the art on the walls is for sale! they always feature local artists, and i'm really excited to be included this summer. i have a whole pile of scarves ready to go, as well as a bunch of the snap brooches. i haven't been stitching in a while, but it was nice and therapeutic to work on this week. i can't wait to see what it all looks like hung up, i'll have to take a picture and share!
i hope you all have a good weekend, i'm off to the cottage, but i feel its gonna be more of a work weekend. i have so much work to do before next weeks show that i think the computer is gonna have to come up with me. and i think that i'm gonna recruit my friend into helping me dye a bunch of fabric! well see if she likes it!

printing up a storm...

so in just over a week i'm going to have a booth at a huge craft fair here at home in London, Ontario. i haven't done a show this big before, so i don't really know what to expect or how much product to have. so i've been making as much as i can! plus i just got a job, so life has been super busy!!
i've got the scarves in all kinds of colours, and i'm loving how they look. so nice and bright. and last night i started some new projects (why not have even more stuff to work on right?!), i'll show you them later. ohh and i'm taking some of my work up to this adorable little beach town on Lake Huron this weekend to put up in a gallery/cafe. man life is busy right now!!

art in the village...

i had another show this past weekend, Art in the Village. it was another nice day in the park, almost rained all day, but didn't! and my set up went even better this time, i'm getting slightly more organized and prepared. i added some new items that i brought out with me, some more tote bags and tee shirts, as well as some camera drawings. it was really nice talking to everyone that came by my booth! i'm really loving the summer craft fair circuit, and i can't wait till my big show next month!!

summer shows...

so last saturday was my first big summer show, Gathering on the Green. it was in my neighbourhood, and had a huge turnout. i had a really good time, and it was pretty much a practice run for my really big show coming up next month. we had pretty good weather all day, except for a big downpour right at the start of the show. but it was nice talking to people about my work, and i got to show off my product to some family friends who hadn't seen it yet. i totally forgot to take any pictures of my booth, but my brother managed to get these.
i have another show coming up this weekend in the same park, and i'm getting pretty excited to do it all over again!

handmade festival...

this saturday i'm taking part in a craft show, the Handmade Festival. i'm really excited to do my first craft show of the summer season, and i'll be busy for the rest of the week getting ready for it. its taking place in downtown London (ontario), so if any of you out there are in london, be sure to come down to the Central Library, from 10-4 on saturday.
