art in the village...
i had another show this past weekend, Art in the Village. it was another nice day in the park, almost rained all day, but didn't! and my set up went even better this time, i'm getting slightly more organized and prepared. i added some new items that i brought out with me, some more tote bags and tee shirts, as well as some camera drawings. it was really nice talking to everyone that came by my booth! i'm really loving the summer craft fair circuit, and i can't wait till my big show next month!!

antique show: treasures part 2...
so these little guys were my most exciting finds from the Antique Market that i went to just over a week ago. i started collecting vintage cameras a few years ago, and now i've got a little family of them. i'll show you all of them sometime soon. i really like these two, especially the cute little mini brownie! and i've got a project in the works right now that involves these guys, perhaps i'll show you a sneak peak tomorrow :)

antique inspiration...
i went to an antique fair out of town all day yesterday. it was really great, and i saw all kinds of interesting things and brought home some treasures! i'll show you them soon.
i've been playing around in the vintage section on Etsy tonight. i think i'm going to start playing around with an old project, inspired by some of these images and some of the items that i saw/bought yesterday.

beautiful bag...
i just love this camera bag. i found it yesterday here, and it would be such a lovely home for my new little rebel, that usually just gets carried around in my purse.

camera bags...
so these are what my final camera bags look like. i really like how they turned out, and their pretty cute to keep my camera in! i printed the 2 colour image onto unbleached cotton, and then zig-zag stitched the image onto some cute fabric, and sewed it into a little zippered bag. stay tuned to see more of theses, i'm defiantly going to be making more this summer.

cameras...
so in a few minutes im on my way to a drawing critique, where we're handing in a project that had to use our drawing skills in our studio materials. i've been doing ink drawings of cameras, and colour seperated the image into two, and exposed them on a silk screen. and this is what they look like! i ended up printing them onto a tee shirt, and also made a few cute little pouches/camera cases.

my love, cameras...
so right now im on two themes, one is the newspaper imagery that is showing up in a lot of my work, and the other is cameras (possibly im channeling one of my very favourite people, my grandpa who was a very successful newspaper photographer). i just find the shape and form of cameras, especially vintage cameras, so appealing. they first started showing up in my drawing work, when we needed to bring in an object to draw, and i happened to have 2 cameras in my bag (i love cameras and photography!). so these are a set of ink drawings from a class.

now im exploring the camera further in my drawing class, where we now have to take our drawings into our studio materials. i took 4 drawings of cameras and separated the colours into 2, and made a silk screen, and printed some little cameras. i'll take some pictures as i work on them and share later!!
