hummies...

so i've been working on hummingbird brooch pins lately, heres a whole flock of them!

another vintage camera...

so a few weeks ago my momma came home with this beauty for me. its a little Kodak Brownie Special six-16, built between 1938-1942. its quite the little trooper, took me a while to figure out how to open it!

finished Colour Project...

so i know, its about time, i finally took some pictures from my final project! all of these pictures are from a line of accessories that i made, all sewn with hand-dyed fabric. i really love the way that this project turned out, something totally new for me in a few ways. first, its a brand new colour scheme, which i actually really like and will defiantly work in again. i also really enjoyed working small and making jewelry. i have made jewelry in the past, but never incorporated textiles into it.
over all i really think that this was a successful project for me, and i hope you enjoy the pictures!

beautiful beach...

so this past weekend was my first visit to the cottage this year, and it was beautiful. the weather was really great, we even spent one afternoon in the lake. and i had a really great time with the people who came with me!

cottage time!!

so im off to the cottage for the weekend!! and im sooo excited! this is our first trip up this year, and its gonna be so great. and some of our friends are coming who i havent seen in over a month, im so excited!

so i don't have a car, and don't plan on getting one anytime soon, but... if i did get one this would be on the top of my list!! its cute, and its green!

sweet tooth time...

so i just got a job at a bakery/cafe a few weeks ago, and im totally loving it, as well as developing my sweet tooth!! every thing we sell is made in the bakery by some amazing bakers, and its all soo good! i can't help myself from trying little bits of everything. so along with eating so many yummy teats, i've been inspired to bake a little bit myself. im not much of a baker at all, my momma is, but im excellent at following a recipe. so far this week i've made chocolate chip banana bread and a whip cream and chocolate cake/log. and next on the list is lemon squares! so heres a few pictures to make you drool! all found here.
